DIY Sock Snowmen

This is another project I did for the craft fair I went to a couple weekends ago.
Sock Snowmen!

I made some of these last year and they were a hit - everyone loved them!

DIY Snowman Decor

I know it is kind of early for Christmas stuff - but my work had a 'crafty' fair that
I went to so I needed to make some stuff!

I saw this idea on Pinterest and decided to re-create!

Here are the supplies:
Muffin Tin - 6 count (2.99 at Walmart)
Spray Paint
Regular Paint
Paint Pen
Ribbon
Hot Glue Gun (Not Pictured)

Step 1: Spray Paint the muffin tins red

Step 2: Get your white paint out and paint the circles white!

Step 3: Decorate! I hot glued the nose shape and painted orange over top.  The eyes and mouth are just painted on with black paint.  The rosy red checks are sponged on with a circle sponge.  I used the paint pen to write "Let it Snow" and to draw little snowflakes all over.  Then I watered down some white paint, dipped a paint brush and shook it over the entire thing to make it look like snow!

Step 4: Add a ribbon and you are set! Such a fun decoration for the holidays!

Fall Fun!

This weekend was amazingly nice out so we did some outside work and Olivia got to enjoy some outside time!

While we were out - I couldn't pass up taking her picture with the awesome yellow leaves that were falling from the tree in front of our house.  It is the only tree that still has leaves!

Really? Who does that?

So woke up this morning and noticed that there was a pumpkin in the street right by our house.  So I meander over to clean it up off the street and notice that it is our pumpkin!

We had three little pumpkins that the in-laws grew in their garden and a bigger one that we were going to carve for Olivia.

So I take a glance up at the door steps where they are and someone had decided to smash our two big pumpkins all over our front steps.

REALLY? Even when I was younger we never did that, and we did some questionable things.  What makes a person think that smashing other people's pumpkins is ok?

I am glad that Olivia is just a small tatertot and doesn't care.  I can imagine as they get older and they have their own pumpkin and if it got smashed they would be upset. I know I would be.

Moral of the story.....don't smash other people's pumpkins.  Not cool.

Back at it...

I am officially back to work which is super sad but at the same time it is good (if that makes sense at all...)
I hate leaving my little peanut at daycare - I would much rather be the one receiving all her baby smiles all day.  Nope, our awesome daycare lady gets them all!  So back to work.... it's like riding a bike.  Seriously! It feels like I never even left which is pretty weird.

My workload isn't completely full yet so I have been browsing pinterest (of course!)

Ok - I know it is only the middle of October but I keep finding myself checking out Christmas stuff! WHAT!? I think with a little one in our family I just can't wait and want to make it super special.  AND I am excited to take some pictures of her for our holiday card - with ideas I found off of pinterest.

2 Month Update

I can't believe my little pumpkin head is already 2 months old! It is really amazing how fast this is going compared to how slowly the weeks went when I was pregnant.

Anyway.... here is our 2 month update!

Olivia is really smiling now! Before we really had to work at getting her to smile and now she is doing it all the time.  She is especially smiley in the mornings!

She LOVES sitting up and being upright.  She has been hanging out in her Bumbo and is improving significantly.  It is crazy how just a week ago she was still pretty wobbly and now she is much better!

She rolled over for the first time a couple days ago! From her tummy to her back - and she did it twice.  I was on the floor looking through the camera viewfinder and all of a sudden there she goes! I was so surprised that I didn't even take a picture.  I set her back up on her stomach and she did it again (this time I got the action shots!).

I packed up some of the clothes she no longer fits into (sad).  I have a huge tub that I have been putting clothes into and it is about half way full now.  But in other news I organized her drawers and clothes so she is all set for fall!

We are working on getting a schedule down so we aren't so crazy when we go to daycare.  So far it has been going pretty well.

Other than that she has been sleeping great - she goes 4-5 hour chunks at night so I am only waking up with her once.  She rarely cries.  She loves her Mommy and Daddy and we love her!

Seriously.... being a mommy is the best thing in the world.

Present for Daddy

It was Olivia's Daddy's birthday this last week! She was so excited!

She wanted to make him something personal.  So she found a baseball with a plastic case and put her tiny hand print in the middle.

It turned out great and her dad loved it!
