Talk about creepy.....
So last night went as normal... get home, play with baby, feed baby, play with baby, put baby to sleep. Then commences the clean-up. I like to put everything back into it's respective place so A) I don't freak out over the clutter and B) so Olivia can start from square one the next day.
She goes down about 7:15pm so I have a couple hours before I go to bed. Last night I wrapped some of her birthday presents, cleaned up the house and started on some of her birthday decoration crafts.
I get ready for bed and am almost sleeping (by myself, Dan had a late softball game) and what jolts me awake? A song from Olivia's walker which is currently sitting right up next to the wall and hasn't been touched in hours.
FREAK. ME. OUT.
The next twenty minutes or so was spent with me staring at the door making sure I wasn't hearing any other sounds. I wouldn't actually get out of bed to look at the darn thing because I was too freaked out.
Olivia is so tiny here! Where does the time go? I think she was about 6 months old.
What's the lesson here? Turn off the toys when putting them away!

Olivia is absolutely precious!
ReplyDeleteAs far as the toy thing goes, I had a robot toy when I was 5 that woke me up one night because it was making noises and the lights on it were going crazy. I'm still somewhat creeped out thinking about it!
Thanks again for the nice comments on my blog! I'm adding you to my list of blogs to read! :)
Thanks for stopping by! Noisy baby toys will probably be the death of me!
DeleteHa! Yes those toys that go off by themselves are so creepy! We have this puppy one that says "hug me" when you haven't touched it in awhile! So creepy!
ReplyDeleteWe have that puppy too! When it says 'Hug Me' it is pretty creepy! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteCreeeeeepy! I hate things like that. Everything becomes much more real when the hubby is gone and it's dark!
ReplyDeleteIm found you through the comment promise blog hop!
Seems like the only time I hear creepy/scary things is when my husband is gone. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI remember I worked in a distrubtion center, and one of the toys in a box started playing after we picked up the box. It just wouldn't stop playing. After a while it just drove us all crazy.
ReplyDeleteHeidi’s Wanderings
That would drive me nuts!
DeleteOh my goodness! This is too crazy! You sound like me. I think for this reason I try so hard to remember to put the toys away before we go to bed. My hubby also wakes up at like 3 to go to work in the AM so I try to be considerate and remember that he could potentially break his neck if he falls over one of the toys. My little guy is 15 months old now. You are right! The time flies by! Found your blog from the Modern Hippie Momma hop. I hope you have a good rest of the week! <3
