Good News on this Monday!

It's Monday.

We had a great weekend at home catching up on cleaning, laundry, playing outside, watching new tv shows, just enjoying the weekend!

On Sunday we went up to one of our good friends house to watch the Vikings game.  Coincidentally, Sunday was also their due date.  She was having some back pain but didn't think anything of it.

I get a phone call this morning from my husband and they went to the hospital this morning at 3am! No baby yet, but they are darn close!

I cannot wait to meet their little bundle - they are going to be such GREAT parents!  I am so so happy for them!

It makes me think back to when we were in the hospital with Olivia...she was so tiny.  Sometimes it is hard to remember that she was just a tiny baby, instead of a little girl with a big personality who runs and climbs on everything!

Teething Sucks...

The last two weeks we have been dealing with some major teething pain.  Olivia is currently cutting 4 teeth - and not the little easy ones either.  Of course, the start of the big teeth farther back in her mouth.  One has actually cut through.  The other three are just huge bumps. 

The nights are the worst - she tosses and turns and can't get comfortable.  Then come the painful moans.  Seriously makes my heart hurt.  Tylenol and Orajel don't seem to work at masking her pain. 

When she was born I used to joke about how funny it would be if she was born with a mouth full of teeth. Last night I mentioned it to the husband and we both agreed that it would have been awesome. 

A little weird, but totally awesome.

Monday

Today is Monday. 

A day where I wake up and feel like I need to sleep for another week.

A day where I get to work and feel like I have been gone on vacation, but instead just gone for the weekend.

A day when I can get lost in the 'ugh it's Monday' feelings.


Today I have decided to embrace Monday. 

A day to enjoy one of the first days of Fall.

A day to enjoy the cool crisp air and the Pumpkin Spice Latte in my hand.

A day to gather with my family and watch a kick ball game.

Today is the day where I start looking to the positives instead of the negatives.  Who cares if laundry gets done or the lawn gets mowed? Instead we get to spend time together, enjoying the weather, playing outdoors, and feeding the ducks.  Today is the day where I take a deep breath, relax my body and mind and enjoy the now. 

Sometimes I wonder...

Have you ever wished you could read minds?

I never really did until now... Sometimes I can tell what Olivia wants or is thinking.  But there are other times when I so badly want to know what is going through that perfect little head of hers. 

I often wonder if she were to somehow start talking in full sentences right this moment, what would she say?

My Fall Bucket List...

I am so excited for Fall! Today gave me a taste, and I want more.  The day started off at about 50 degrees, I enjoyed a wonderful pumpkin spice latte, I ran outside today in a sweatshirt while it drizzled on me.  

If there is a place where it is Fall year round, someone needs to tell me! 

Since I am a crazy list person, I made our Fall Bucket List.  Writing things down helps me not forget them, and am more likely do them!  I kept the list pretty simple, Olivia is only one so she doesn't totally get the awesomeness of fall yet.  But she will - trust me!
