As soon as I saw you....

Precious little girl,
It is hard to remember what my life was like without you, and I don't want to.
You make my life whole.
You are my heart.
You are my smile.
You are my everything.
Don't change a thing! Keep being that funny, curious, active little girl that you are.
Love you always,
Your mama

Adventure in the Park

I love that the weather is FINALLY starting to warm up.  Now if it would only stop raining everyday!

We went on a little adventure down at the park.  Feed the ducks and geese, went for a walk and played in the park.  We had a pretty good time!

She was a little wary of the geese - but so was I (who can blame her!)
 Living the swings!

Wasn't the most impressed with the slide.  I think daddy had more fun on this one!
Do you know how hard it is for an adult and a baby to be on this without it going to far forward and backward? The answer is very hard!
It was much easier with just the baby!
We had to try the teeter toter too!
Great day at the park - can't wait for more nice days!

Olivia's 9 Month Photos!

We got Olivia's 9 Month photos taken a while back and just got the disc in the mail.  Christy Bode Photography took her photos again (took my maternity photos and all of Olivia's photos).  She is so great to work with - we love her!

Here are a few of my favorites!

Taking in the Moment

My baby girl has gotten herself a little cold again (the 1,232,546,757 this year).  During the day she is fine, maybe a little fussy because she needs her nose wiped.  But at night is when the baby bear comes out.  About an hour after we put her down she wakes up screaming.  I totally understand - the girl can't breath out of her nose and all she wants is her paci, which she spits out right away because all she can do is mouth breath.

Last night I rocked her for a long time.  I sat in our rocker with that baby on my chest and watched her sleep.  I smelled her clean soft hair, I felt that hair tickle my face, I stroked her chubby cheeks, held her little hand.

I sat there remembering when she was a tiny tator tot, it seemed so long ago but it has only been a few short months.  My baby is growing so fast.  Sitting there rocking her last night made time stand still.  It made me never want to let that moment go.  It reminded me of a quote about moments from The Anderson Crew  "and this is why i love photography.  it's a chance to capture a moment that moves my heart, but that i will forget way too soon." How I wish I had a camera at that moment.  This quote also makes me feel so much better about the hundreds of photos I take each month, I am just capturing moments that move my heart and will forget too soon.

Don't grow too fast baby girl... I want to remember every moment.

Embracing the Camera

Today I am embracing the camera with my tater tot! I really need to make a better effort at getting in the pictures instead of only taking them.  I want Olivia to have pictures of us all - not just of her!

So here is Olivia and I playing in the mirror! Yes there is a little piece of toilet paper on her foot - she found something fun to play in!

Love this little girl so so much! Every day my love for her grows. I am so lucky!

Sad Puppy Dog Eyes

Go ahead and imagine that song by Sarah McLachlan.  You know the one.  The song that makes you want to cry and then shows you sad puppies on the tv.

Ok got it?

Now look at these pictures....

Poor sad baby!

She wasn't sad at all here - just wondering why I was taking so many pictures of her!

I swear I have more pictures from the last 7 months then I have ever taken in my whole life! Which is great.  I don't have too many photos from when I was younger and I wish I did.  Olivia will have plenty!

My kind of scrapbooking

I love the idea of scrapbooking but the time, money and motivation just aren't there for me.

So instead I have been making books on Shutterfly.  I have a bunch planned out - just not totally created yet.

So far I have made a Pregnancy Journal (which I started and kept up through the entire pregnancy), Olivia's Newborn Photos and Olivia's 3 Month Photos.  Once I get her 6 month photos in the mail I will get on that one too!

Books I have planned.... Top 10 of 2012, Grandparents book for both sets, and a monthly update/progress book for the baby along with milestones, favorite things, etc.

I love how they turn out and they are so fun to make!

It is way easier for me to make books of this adorable baby girl.  I still need to make our Wedding and Honeymoon Book...it's only been coming up on 3 years. Whoops!
