Checking out her Easter Basket from Mom & Dad - Whoops! I mean the Easter Bunny!
Tasting the shirt!
For her first Easter we decided to not go too crazy. We got her a couple books; The Night Before Easter (super fun book and cheap too!), Murray's First Book of Words from Target, Little Blue Truck Leads the Way (LOVE this book!). She got some cute spring onesies and pink bunny ears! She also got some of her favorite baby foods. She just loves those lil' crunchies!
We are spending Easter Weekend at the Cabin with Olivia's Grandparents and Cousins! Can't wait!
Today I am embracing the camera with my tater tot! I really need to make a better effort at getting in the pictures instead of only taking them. I want Olivia to have pictures of us all - not just of her!
So here is Olivia and I playing in the mirror! Yes there is a little piece of toilet paper on her foot - she found something fun to play in!
Love this little girl so so much! Every day my love for her grows. I am so lucky!
One of Olivia's new favorite things to do is stand up on the railing and laugh at the pictures on the wall! So cute. I just love watching her grow, develop, learn and take in new things. Simply amazing!
Oh hi Mom
Sometimes we look down to see what is at the bottom of the stairs....
We had a great weekend. Olivia showed us that she has a little bit of 'Stranger Danger'. She usually warms up to people after a day of seeing them but not this weekend! She warmed up to the girls but not the guys.
She also learned how to climb up the stairs - YIKES! She is a quick little bugger!
And my bracket is still doing pretty good, which is surprising because I don't watch or follow basketball AT ALL and it was purely just guessing. Is is bad that I really really want to beat my husbands bracket? Oh well.
Please excuse the crappy cell phone pictures but....
How cute is this little girl in her first swim suit?!
Her Grandma bought her this little suit so she could be ready for an Infant Swimming class that we will be taking next month - I can't wait! I hope she loves the water! She loves her baths so I think it will be alright!
She wants to shout it to the world! She loves her new shoes....JOKING! She has no idea what is on her feet when I put them on. Have you ever put booties on a dog and watched them walk? That is how she walks in shoes. Hilarious! I probably need to get some softer shoes to start out with - not hard-soled Converse's!
This is a hard post for me to write. I have been going back and forth, wondering if I should even write this at all.
This is a place where I can capture my feelings/emotions/daily happenings. If I can't put it here where can I put it? I have a really hard time even talking about it and most of the time choose to ignore it because it is easier.
I don't want to get to in-depth, but I just need to get it off my chest.
I am so so disappointed that you have made absolutely no effort to see and meet my child. I have given you options and offered to pay for your gas. She is seven and a half months old and you have made zero effort to get to know her. What role do you expect to play in her life?
I know she is still very little and doesn't know any different right now, but how am I going to explain to her who you are and why you don't seem to care. What hurts most is that in the end, she will be the one wondering why and what she could do better. You are the one missing out on knowing and watching a beautiful little girl grow and develop. Living through pictures on Facebook isn't going to help you know her sweet laugh and giggle, the smile she gets when she sees someone she knows, the face she makes when she blows bubbles with her spit. Maybe this will all change. Who knows. I sure hope so. I know a little girl who would really love to meet you.
I have seen this around and thought I would try it out for month to see how we liked it.
While the delivery was pushed back almost an entire month - I did enjoy receiving the box in the mail. I LOVE getting mail, especially fun baby stuff! I received their 'baby box' which included:
* A fun baby toy that Olivia loves
* Small container of baby safe dish liquid
* Baby lip balm with sunscreen
* Soy nut mix - for mom!
* Small tube of Udderly Smooth Udder Cream
* Sample of Tender Defender
* 2 corresponding coupons
While I love the idea of getting a mystery box of goodies picked out for Olivia at her specific age, I am not sure if this is the ticket for me. They are getting bigger boxes for the baby's which is a plus - and will be offering more full sized products. I think the price on the new boxes is $25 - which may be a little spendy for my tastes, especially when I might only use half of what is in there.
Any suggestions on any other services that are awesome and don't cost too much?!
Go ahead and imagine that song by Sarah McLachlan. You know the one. The song that makes you want to cry and then shows you sad puppies on the tv.
Ok got it?
Now look at these pictures....
Poor sad baby!
She wasn't sad at all here - just wondering why I was taking so many pictures of her!
I swear I have more pictures from the last 7 months then I have ever taken in my whole life! Which is great. I don't have too many photos from when I was younger and I wish I did. Olivia will have plenty!
My little girl is 7 months already. What.The.Heck. This is not possible! She was just born!
7 Things About 7 Months:
1. She is officially a crawler! Into everything - goes everywhere. We are going to have our hands full. When she gets focused on one thing - you cannot change her mind about it!
2. She LOVES eating! Not so much her bottle but food and puffs she loves! She also loves drinking a little water our of her sippy cup.
3. She thinks her mom and dad are hilarious! Maybe it's all the jumping around we do with silly faces just to make her laugh. I sometimes wonder what someone looking in from the street would think that I am doing (since they probably wouldn't be able to see the baby!)
4. She is SO squirmy when I am changing her diaper. I always have to give her like 3 things to grab just so I can get the diaper on otherwise she is trying to flip over and play!
5. She loves looking at herself in the mirror and in pictures. I have a picture of her for the background of my phone and every time I show it to her she smiles and laughs.
6. Not sure what it is about phones and remote controls (and my water bottle) but she likes them more then her fun toys!
7. She gives the best kisses and hugs. She gets pretty cuddly after a nap. She loves when I shake my ponytail in her face and when I blow on her hair. All around, she thinks I am pretty darn funny (which is true!).
Toys are everywhere! This is our house now. No more walking into the living room half asleep without the light on or you will step on a rock hard block or a clear round ball. We probably should have bought her some softer toys!
I really don't mind having baby toys everywhere. This is now her house and we are here to help her develop, learn and grow. What better way then bright exciting baby toys!
My most favorite thing right now is watching her daddy read to her. I love the interaction between them and love how she looks and studies the pages of the books. So great!
She is all over the place now and loves visiting me in the bathroom
(while I am getting ready!) I am pretty sure I will never have alone
She is also pulling herself up on everything. She is growing up way to darn fast.
She just learned how to wave and is doing it in this picture - the cuteness seriously kills me!
Dan and I met in college, happily married since September 2010. We had a baby girl on August 3rd, 2012 - she is just AMAZING! I love watching her learn new things - Life is Great! Everyone has a story... this is ours.
